5 Minutes With… Shamili Periasamy

What does a typical day look like for you?

I usually start my day by catching up on emails and prioritising tasks. From there, I follow up on client work based on urgency and deadlines. I like to tackle the heavier number work in the morning while my mind is fresh, but of course, there are always a few surprise client requests that keep things interesting!

Which aspects of your role do you enjoy the most?

I really enjoy working with my colleagues and clients to solve issues and make sure everything is accurate. It’s also rewarding when I can help solve a tricky problem or make a process smoother.

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be? 

I’d love to try being an interior designer. It would be amazing to transform spaces and play with colour and style

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?

Outside of work, you’ll probably find me hanging out with friends and family, trying out new cafés, or at a pilates class. I also love a good Netflix binge to unwind.

Do you have any “hidden talents”?

I’m pretty creative.  I enjoy sketching, arts & crafts, and even making flower bouquets when I get the chance.
